Second Annual Sonoma County Zero Waste Symposium

Thursday, May 10th, 8am- 6pm.  Sonoma Mountain Village in Rohnert Park.  $60 General Admission, $20 Students (includes lunch).
The 2nd Annual Sonoma County Zero Waste Symposium will be hosted May 10 as the headline educational event for Zero Waste Week of May 6-12, 2018.  Come hear and network with amazing speakers on cutting-edge zero waste topics.  Learn how you can get involved in Sonoma County’s Zero Waste movement!
Sonoma County Zero Waste Symposium engages community stakeholders by showcasing zero waste policies, programs and infrastructure that design waste out of the system wherever possible and divert discarded materials through composting, reclaiming, reducing, reusing, and recycling.

Keynote speaker: Captain Charles Moore has dedicated his time and resources to understanding and remediating the ocean’s plastic load. He recently returned from 6 months at sea in the South Pacific surveying the extent of plastic contamination in the South Pacific Garbage Patch and along the coast of Chile.
