Sebastopol Carbon Conversations
February 1 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm PST
by donationFebruary 1st, 2023 * SoCo Climate 2050 Wednesday 7pm. Sebastopol Grange
Premier of the video “Sonoma County Climate
2050“.The video is based on the most recent
studies conducted by the United States Geological
Survey, the US Department of Forestry, and the
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association. It answers
several questions about the future climate of Sonoma County,
including: will we have fires, fog, and water in 2050? What
trees will we be growing? The projections and answers in the
video are based on climate modeling. While the video presents
a concerning picture of the potential impacts of climate change
on Sonoma County, it also offers hope and highlights the
potential for positive change. The video presentation is made
by Dr. Emily Schoerning from American Resiliency and has
been requested and funded by community members of
Sonoma County.
